Bento Box
This is a toy design that lets children build their own bento box. Children are able to explore many different combinations through placement of food and designing their own decorations for certain foods such as the onigiri. The target age range for this product would be around the ages of 3 to 7 years old. While designing this toy, I was considering ways in which this product could promote sensory play, learning about sharing and communicating with others, and decision making. Each bento box set would have a different theme and design, and each themed set would come with different foods that would differentiate it from other sets. Some of the items that would be in every bento box set would be a bento box, food items, utensils, cutting board, colored sticker sheets, and an illustrated book with an explanation of each food.
